1967 → Electrical Engineering Department, Kaohsiung Institute of Technology
1997 → Upgraded to the Department of Electrical Engineering, Kaohsiung Institute of Technology
2000 → Changed its name to the Department of Electrical Engineering, Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences
2001 → Established the Master’s Program of the Institute of Power and Control Engineering
2002 → Established a research institute to recruit in-service master classes (evening classes)
2003 → Established the Doctoral Program of the Institute of Electric Power and Control Engineering
2004 → Established the master’s and doctoral programs of the Department of Electrical Engineering
2005 → Established a research institute to recruit special on-the-job classes for Master of Industrial R&D
2007 → Passed IEET (Institute of Engineering Education, Taiwan, R.O.C) Certification
2009 → Passed IEET Certification
2014 → Passed IEET Certification
2017 → Passed IEET Certification
2018-> Renamed to the Department of Electrical Engineering, Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology
2019->Newly added a master class and a master class for intelligent automation systems in the Department of Electrical Engineering
